Fungal Nail Assessment & Treatment

Fungal Nail Treatment

Assessment and treatment on the day £50
Fungal nail infections can be stubborn, but damaged nails are not always fungal. We’ll assess the nail, explain the likely cause and begin treatment during your first appointment. Treatment depends on the number of nails involved, the severity of the infection, your general health and what you’ve already tried.

Signs of a Fungal Nail Infection

Common changes include:

  • Thickening
  • Yellow or white discolouration
  • Brittle or crumbly nail
  • Nail lifting
  • Difficulty cutting the nail
  • Associated athlete’s foot

Other nail conditions can look similar, which is why assessment is important before committing to longer-term treatment.

What Happens at Your First Appointment?

  1. We discuss how long the nail has been changing, previous treatment and relevant medical history.
  2. We examine the affected nails and surrounding skin.
  3. We professionally reduce and treat the affected nail.
  4. We explain the ongoing treatment options, limitations and realistic timescales.

Is treatment included at my first appointment?

Yes. Your £50 appointment includes assessment and initial treatment.

How long does treatment take?

Treatment takes several months, while complete nail replacement can take considerably longer.

Can fungal nails come back?

Yes. We provide advice to reduce the risk of reinfection.
