Ingrowing Toenail Assessment & Treatment

£50
An ingrowing toenail can range from an occasional painful edge to a repeatedly infected nail affecting shoes, work, sleep or exercise.
We’ll assess the nail and IF appropriate, treat it during the same appointment.
If surgery is likely to provide the better long-term solution, we’ll explain exactly what it involves before you decide.

This Appointment Is Suitable For

  • Painful nail edges
  • Redness or inflammation
  • Recurrent ingrowing nails
  • Discharge around the nail
  • Nails that are difficult to cut safely
  • Pain in footwear or during activity
  • Problems that have returned after previous treatment

Rapidly spreading redness, severe swelling, fever or significant illness may require urgent medical attention rather than a routine appointment.

Toenail Surgery

One toe £350 | Two toes £399
Toenail surgery is a minor procedure performed under local anaesthetic.
In most cases only the narrow section of nail causing the problem needs to be removed. The nail matrix is then treated to reduce the chance of that section growing back.

What Happens During Surgery?

    1. Local anaesthetic is used to completely numb the toe.
    2. The offending section of nail is removed.
    3. The nail matrix is treated to reduce recurrence.
    4. The toe is cleaned and dressed before you leave.

    The price includes

    • Nail surgery
    • Dressings
    • Unlimited follow-up until healed
    • Antibiotic prescriptions if clinically required
